So last night my Droid X bricked, wouldn't turn on, no charge, nothing. I called Verizon at around 8pm and at around 10am THE NEXT DAY I had a replacement phone delivered to my door.
It came without any accessories, like sd card, charger, etc... but their instructions said to replace all of that from my old phone. I had to reactivate (took about 5 minutes) now I am good to go. It also came with a return postage and a box to send it in.
I am very happy with the verizon/motorola warrenty!

I have found that Verizon is usually very generous about replacing devices. The only time I had an issue was because I didn't have the insurance, and my screen was cracked. This means that the warranty no longer covers it.
Other than that, my experience with Verizon has been pretty awesome... They are always very willing to help. I have gotten early upgrades and all. And by early, I mean after 1 year (instead of 2), so they weren't exactly just giving it to me only a month or two before the upgrade was available.

Just checking in on this, the replacement phone they sent has been working perfectly and for reasons i can't explain it seem to take/keep a charge MUCH longer than my old phone. The fact that my old phone wouldn't take a charge at all once it died probably had something to do with it. Both phones used the same exact battery from the old phone. Strange but cool

Well, remember that when batteries get old they lose efficiency. Maybe your old phone was as good as the new one, but back when you first got it... It could be that the battery just slowly started getting slower without you noticing? And then all of a sudden a new one felt much better?
