    Nexus 7 vs. Kindle Fire

What do you guys think about this? I mean, the Kindle Fire was selling as much as it was due to its price and good specs when it was released. A good dual-core tablet for $200 from a reputable manufacturer was simply unheard of back then.

Now we have the Nexus 7, with a full Android OS and Android 4.1. It is not "the best," but it sure beats the Kindle Fire with its OS, Tegra 3 processor, 1 GB of RAM and Nexus branding (and all that comes with it). The Kindle Fire now finds itself in a bit of trouble, so they have to change things for the Kindle Fire 2, which will be a more direct competitor to the Nexus 7.

Their biggest incentive used to be the price - but can they go any cheaper at this moment? They must also consider their UI, which can be limited compared to other tablets. Specs should also at least match the Nexus tablet, but I would say it is better to surpass it to counteract the other downsides.

What do you guys think Amazon could do to keep its customers and/or get new ones?

NEXUS 7!!!! Hands down the best option between the two. The specs, full Android 4.1 (even if it looks like a phone OS) and the price. Not to mention design and build quality. The Kindle Fire is kind of ugly, plus the specs are lower and the software is limited? Why... just, why?
